To be chosen for his State was an honour, to be chosen as Co-Captain was a surprise than to top it off winning the Lefroy Medal capped off what must have been a dream weekend for our Captain – Shane Piuselli.
Shane who has played in Glenorchy’s last two Premierships in 2007 and 2008 never took up the option of having a crack with the Devils, however many Glenorchy people never doubted that he had the ability and talent to succeed at a higher level.
Congratulations Shane it is an awesome effort. You join a select few Magpies that have won the Lefroy Medal – Our 1st back in 1965 Max McMahon (Tied), Darryl Sutton in 1979 and our most recent David Pearce who won this medal in 1986.Source: GDFC |
