2009-06-24 - Joseph gives back to Glenorchy Football Club

Former Glenorchy footballer and Round 12 NAB AFL Rising Star nominee, Aaron Joseph, from the Carlton Football Club has earned his former club the NAB Club Recognition Award.

As part of NAB’s commitment to grassroots and junior football, Joseph’s junior club, Glenorchy, receives a NAB Club Recognition Award designed to provide practical and financial resources to assist in developing more future champions. This includes $1,500 in a NAB Community Fee Saver Account, Sherrins, training equipment, AFL training manuals and a framed presentation piece featuring Joseph.

Local NAB representative Gregg Harris says the NAB AFL Rising Star exists to support grassroots players and football communities and helps young Australians fulfil their dream of playing in the AFL.

"The NAB Club Recognition Award is a fantastic initiative that provides each nominee with an opportunity to acknowledge the important role junior clubs play in the early stages of development, while also providing local clubs, communities and media with a chance to congratulate nominated players" Mr Harris said.

A NAB Representative will present Glenorchy Football Club with their NAB Club Recognition Award within the next few weeks.
