Glenorchy’s 2007 Premiership player now Carlton listed player – Aaron Joseph has enjoyed a wonderful 2009 season. After originally being rookie listed by Carlton at the end of the 2007 season – Joseph enjoyed the 2008 season of learning with the Blues affiliate team (Northern Bullants - VFL).
After working hard over the summer – Aaron was given a chance in the NAB pre-season competition and took some great scalps and it included the opportunity to play on the 2009 Brownlow Medallist – Gary Ablett Jnr. who recently referred Aaron as the hardest opponent he played on this year.
Aaron’s pre-season form earned him a permanent spot on Carlton’s main list and elevation off the rookie-list and he ended up playing every Home and Away game as well as Carlton’s Finals appearance against Brisbane.
Earlier in the season – Aaron’s good form earned him a nomination in the NAB Rising Star Award and finally to top it off – Aaron finished in Carlton’s Top 10 in their Best and Fairest Award and he was presented with an award for the Best 1st Year Player.
The Glenorchy Football Club is extremely proud of Aaron’s efforts and wishes him well for the future.Source: GDFC |
