Tuesday the 24th of November saw the Cresswell / Beakley stand re-opened by the Mayor of Glenorchy – Adriana Taylor and the Premier of Tasmania – David Bartlett. It is a fantastic edition to the KGV oval and something everyone should be proud of. The stand was named after two fine gentlemen – Merv Cresswell and Bob Beakley who put in many hours not just at the Glenorchy Football Club but also within the Glenorchy community. It was fantastic to see a number of relatives from both families at the opening.
